Moinul Ahsan Saber
Moinul Ahsan Saber (born 1958) is a famous short story writer, whose father Ahsan Habib, had also been one of the major modern poets of Bangladesh. Saber studied Sociology at Dhaka University and was the editor of a popular weekly magazine Saptahik 2000 and now a full-time writer. He also writes children’s fiction and novels. The publication of his first collection of short stories Porasto Sahish in 1982 earned him a lot of fame. He has a handful of awards to his credit—Philip’s Award, Bapi Shahriar Children’s Award, Humayun Qadir Literature Award and the most prestigious Bangla Academy Literature Award (1996).
