Tony Harrison
Tony Harrison's poetry has won numerous awards including the Geoffrey Faber Memorial Prize for The Loiners and The Whitbread Poetry Prize for The Gaze of the Gorgon (Bloodaxe). He has also written extensively for the National Theatre and his translation of Aeschylus' Oresteia won the 1982 European Poetry Translation Prize. Harrison's film-poems include V, Prometheus and a contemporary response to Auden's Night Mail.
